After the U.S.
And Iran signed a deal to end the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz this week,
the Trump administration touted it as a huge victory.
We and the broader region win.
Iran is weakened.
Their nuclear program destroyed.
Their economy in desperate straits.
But when the actual terms of the agreement became public.
This will go down as a tremendous foreign policy blunder.
It prompted a wave of criticism from lawmakers in both parties about what exactly the Trump administration had given up.
