Today we 're looking at what President Trump's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz means for the global energy market
and the Philippines moves to ease pressure on households as fuel costs surge.

So the Iranian blockade of the Strait of Hormuz is now being followed by an American blockade.
But they have very different purposes.
First, the Iranians want to show that they have leverage of the global economy.
And the Americans, on the other hand, want to show Iran that the U.S.
Can block two key sources of revenue for Iran.
The money charged to ships that it was allowing through the straits.
And there's talk of $2 million a ship here.
And of course, that Iran will not be able to export any of its oil.
And one of the questions now is, will that blockade turn into more exchange of missiles?
