  • Welcome to the Listening Time podcast.

  • Hey everybody, this is Connor and you're listening to episode 118 of the Listening Time podcast.

  • Thank you all for listening.

  • I hope you're all doing well today and that you're ready to learn a little bit about buying a house in the US.

  • That's the topic of today's episode, and I've never bought a house in the US.

  • I've never been through this process before.

  • So I'm going to talk from the knowledge that I have, but not from experience.

  • So I'm not giving any advice here.

  • And if you live in the US and you want to buy a house, then you'll definitely need to consult experts and do research and all of that.

  • But I just kind of want to give some general points regarding buying a house in the US, just to give you an idea of what it's like.

  • And I'll also talk a little bit about owning a house and the things that you need to pay that you might not know about.

  • So we'll talk about these different things today.

  • I think this will be educational for all of us, me included, because I had to do some research and get some ideas on online while I was preparing for this episode, so it was also educational for me.

  • And I think you'll all learn a little bit about this topic from this episode and it should be interesting.

  • Remember that if you want my help understanding native speakers when they speak fast, make sure to check out my membership.

  • And in particular, if you become a listening time family member, you'll get my advanced podcast episodes where I speak at normal speed.
