Hi, welcome back to eat your Kruz podcast.
I'm Jisoo.
I'm Crystal.
And I'm Destin.
So our guest this week is actually a childhood friend of mine.
We went to the same junior high and high school.
He's also a really avid gamer and.
He'S an aspiring game developer.
Welcome, Destin.
What's up, guys?
I'm happy to be here.
So we invited Destin on this week because we wanted to talk about games, not just like playing games, but also some of the other aspects of game like development and things like that.
Because I feel like right now is such a good time to talk about this since everyone, or not everyone, but like a lot of people are turning towards games in order to fulfill some kind of entertainment.
Yeah, I feel like especially a lot of guys grow up playing games and it's so ingrained into their lifestyle.
And I feel like becoming a game developer, or at least working in the gaming industry is such a, like every 13 year old boy's dream.
So I guess what kind of job functions entail game development?
Actually, I think when people think about game development, mostly the two areas that they think, maybe like three areas that they think about are design, like the actual, like what happens in the game, like the rules and how to win, lose, stuff like that.
Coding, obviously, because games are software, so coding is like a given.
And probably art are like the three things that most people think about.
But there's actually like a lot more roles.
