  • And I'm Warren.

  • Our guest today is a fellow UC San Diego alumni.

  • He's also currently teaching English in Japan.

  • And he plays valorant with me during really degenerate hours.

  • At least for me, it's degenerate hours.

  • It's till like 02:00 a.m.

  • but for Warren, it's like just his late afternoon.

  • It's responsible hours.

  • Welcome, Warren.

  • Glad to be here.

  • So, like we mentioned earlier, Warren is actually currently teaching English in Japan.

  • I guess we can kind of start off with a pretty general question.

  • Why did you choose to teach English abroad?

  • And also, why did you specifically choose Japan?

  • A lot of people choose Japan mainly from fascination with japanese culture.

  • So, for example, exposures with Saturday morning anime shows like Pokemon or Sailor Moon, way back in the day classic, or maybe the newer anime that come out like boku no hero or kimetsu no yaiba.
