  • Hi.

  • Welcome back to eat your crust podcast.

  • I'm Jisoo.

  • I'm Crystal.

  • And I'm Austin.

  • This week, our guest is actually a high school friend of mine.

  • He's also an artist who goes by.

  • The name of alibi, and he makes music and has a total of nearly 200,000 streams on Spotify.

  • Wow.

  • Yay.

  • Welcome, Austin.

  • Thanks for having me.

  • It's great to finally be here and listening to your podcast for a while.

  • So pretty excited.

  • Yeah.

  • So we wanted Austin to come on and chat with us this week about just, like, making music in general.

  • And I think a lot of your music falls into a pretty specific, unique category.

  • I know you have a lot of influence from various international artists, so you kind of incorporate that into some of the music that you make by using, like, korean, japanese, sometimes even chinese in the music that you make, whether it's, like, rap verses or singing verses or even the chorus.

  • So we kind of wanted to talk about this idea of the globalization of music and how that affects the music in all different aspects, whether it's, like, the process, the end product, the audience, etcetera.

  • So I guess to start it off, our first question would be, what was the inspiration behind using multiple languages in your music?
