And I'm Jisoo.
A couple weeks back, me and Jisoo had interviewed Winton Wong, and we talked a lot about the Asian American International Film Festival, which is happening right now, October 1 to October 11.
We decided that we would take some time and just talk about a couple of the films that we've been watching during the festival.
So Winton kind of talked about this more in her episode, but the Asian American International Film Festival is an annual film festival that happens in New York City, and they really focus on pulling in films not just from asian american creators, but also from asian creators from different countries around the world.
And it's really cool.
Like, I've never personally been to any sort of film festival, and this year, of course, because of COVID it's virtual.
It's really cool to have this hub of so many different films with people that look just like me.
And I think the films that they specifically curated for this event is quite an interesting collection.
So Jisoo and I were pretty excited, and we both ended up getting a five film pass, and we plan to be using that over the course of the week and a half that this festival is going on.
There's quite a few different films available to us, as well as, like, shorts and events like Q and A's or speaker panels, which overall, seems really interesting.
Yeah, totally.
And considering that for each film or event, you have to buy a ticket, and each ticket is $10, it is kind of a steal to buy the five pack for $40.
And like Crystal said, there's so many different things that the film festival has to offer.
Personally, I like that there's, you know, a collection of documentaries as well as more of a narrative style film.
So I'm excited to be able to switch things up as I use up my film pack for the week.
Right now, it's currently Sunday, and Jisoo and I have each watched a couple of movies.
So the one that we want to talk about first is model.
