Hi.
Welcome back to eat your Crez podcast.
I'm Jisoo.
I'm Crystal.
And I'm Karen.
We have an exciting guest today, and she is an east coast Asian from Georgia.
She's also the host of her own podcast, mxasian American.
And fun fact, she doesn't know how to swim.
Welcome, Karen.
Well, thank you, guys.
I'm very excited to be here and very excited that Georgia is blue.
Yes.
Yeah, it's Saturday right now as we're recording.
So the news about Biden and Kamala winning the election was just announced this morning.
So pretty exciting time for us.
Mm hmm.
We're still on the high.
So today's topic, we thought it was perfect to bring on Karen because we, Crystal and I, for a long time, have wanted to talk about gender expression and identity in the asian community as well as the asian american community.
It's no secret that crystal and I consume a lot of korean media, and we're also big fans of mainstream american media as well.
So I think a lot of the times, we can kind of see the contrast in cultures and definitely in modern day portrayals of gender as well in media, which is so interesting.
