When life feels like it’s running a million miles per hour, taking care of the big things feels much more urgent than the little things. But often times, it’s the little things that bring the most joy! Inspired by Ingrid Joy Fetell Lee’s Joyful Planner, which encourages us to actively plan for joy rather than expect it to spontaneously stumble into our lives, we express our gratitude about the little things we’ve been doing in the past few months that have brought us joy. • Welcome back to eat your crust podcast.

  • I'm Crystal.

  • And I'm Jisoo.

  • So it's pretty safe to say that this has been a pretty crazy year.

  • We've been juggling stress of uncertainty, being taken away from our normal routine, and just, like, adjusting to minimal social contact.

  • But also, at the same time, we're expected to stay focused on what we need to accomplish.

  • And I think a lot of times, it's easy to get caught up into all of that and forget about what brings us joy.

  • And it is almost Thanksgiving, so it's kind of the perfect time to take a little breather and think about things that you're grateful for or that make you happy, and even if it's, like, the small things.

  • So we wanted to take this episode to kind of celebrate that.

  • Yeah.

  • I love what you said about celebrating the small joys because there's a ton of big things in our lives that I think crystal and I are both grateful for, whether it's, you know, being able bodied and healthy or having the comfort and safety of a home or even things like having support from our parents and friends and a stable income.

  • These are definitely things that crystal and I both try not to take granted.

  • But we thought it would be great to kind of focus on the little things, whether it's, you know, small events or new hobbies that we've taken up or even something simple, like putting on really, really fluffy socks.

  • Oh, wow.

  • That's such a good one.

  • Since it's getting older, I actually bought these, like, nice, warm wool socks, and I wear them at home.

  • And honestly, man, they are so warm.

  • They're a game changer.

  • I love that so much, dude.

  • I feel like, you know, what you wear on your feet at home is so crucial because we don't really go out anymore.
