Hi.
Welcome back to eat your crust podcast.
I'm Jisoo.
And I'm Crystal.
Today, it's actually June 9, which means it's a little bit over a week and a half before Father's Day.
This year, I feel like Father's Day, for some reason, feels like a little bit of a smaller or less talked about holiday than Mother's Day, even though both holidays are supposed to be celebrated.
Our parents.
So this year, Crystal and I wanted to do a whole episode dedicated to our dads, specifically sharing any stories we have about them, any lessons we've learned, and just in general, any cute and fun stories about them.
I wonder if it's maybe because, like, Mother's Day is so easily marketable.
It's like, oh, just buy these flowers from us.
But for Father's Day, it's like, oh, what are we going to market to people?
It's a little harder.
Yeah.
Like, how are companies supposed to balance marketing for toxic masculinity while at the same time making it commercial?
It's a little bit more difficult.
Yeah.
And I feel kind of bad because for Mother's Day, it's like, it's such an easy cop out to do flowers and whatever, but it's also, like, nice to receive those things.
But then for Father's day, it's like, oh, shit.
Thinking and finding a gift is so much harder.
Yeah, it's weird.
