Hi, welcome back to eat your cuss podcast.
I'm Jisoo.
I'm Crystal.
And I am Wei Rong.
Today we have a pretty interesting topic and the perfect guest to talk about this topic.
We actually wanted to talk about cultural awareness, what cultural awareness means in terms of advancing our society and through what means we can actually achieve cultural awareness, whether it's easy job or a pretty difficult task.
And our guest today is Wei Rong.
Wei Rong, do you want to introduce yourself for our listeners?
Yes, for sure.
First of all, thank you very much for having me on this podcast.
It's a pleasure and especially talking about something that I am passionate about.
So thank you once again for having me here and to introduce myself.
My name is Wei Rong.
As you guys said, I am a third culture kid.
I am basically originally from China, as people say, but I grew up in Hungary for my whole life.
So basically in Europe, and then I attended international schools for twelve years.
Right now I should be in Vienna, Austria, but I actually not because of COVID And so I've been in Hungary for basically this past year.
Anyway, I'm talking about cultural awareness, and I first want to kind of give you guys a background about why I'm in this topic, first of all, and what kind of led me here.
So basically, from my introduction that I just gave you guys, talking about my background and, you know, experiencing different cultures, about growing up, I really realized just how important it is to be so aware and realize that you can come off very differently if you are not aware of where you come from and what people have in terms of beliefs, traditions, customs.
I realize that especially during communication and how you, for example, share information, express yourself in front of other people and how that should be very much be more informed about how we come across.
