  • Hi.

  • Welcome back to eat your crust podcast.

  • I'm Crystal.

  • And I'm Jisoo.

  • So we kind of talked about how recently I actually moved all the way to New York City, and it's also nearing the time of the end of Jisoo's, like, apartment lease.

  • So we thought it might be fun to kind of talk about apartment hunting on the podcast and things that we look for when we're searching, things that, like our must haves, things that we really care about, and any tips that we've kind of picked up along the way.

  • I mean, I've only really looked for, like, one, quote, unquote, adulting apartment, but we also had to look for apartments throughout college and things like that, so.

  • So we thought it would be interesting to have an episode on this whole part of life.

  • Yeah, I feel like this is a topic relevant to a lot of people who are in their 20 somethings, 30 somethings, because apartments are kind of unavoidable, especially if you're looking to live in a big city with affordable rent and a decent place.

  • And if you're lucky enough to mostly live in houses your whole life, then this might not be as relevant for you.

  • But for us, it is.

  • So, to kick this off, we're each going to state how many different apartments we've lived in, and we're going to include our college apartments that weren't dorms.

  • So for me, I've only lived in a total of three different apartments, or, like, rented spaces at least.

  • And for me, I've lived in five different rented spaces.

  • I guess one of the places we lived in in college together was, like a sort of townhome apartment.

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah.

  • So I guess, like, four and a half.

  • Our first college apartment was 100% an apartment we lived on.

  • I don't even remember what floor we lived on.
