Hi.
Welcome back to eat your crust podcast.
I'm Crystal.
And I'm Jisoo.
Today we wanted to talk about one of the biggest asian american things happening right now in media, which is the release of Shang Chi.
You know, it's a Marvel movie, and there's a lot of asian representation within the movie.
It's definitely, like, something very exciting for the community to see and even more to, like, have them see themselves in such a big franchise, I guess you could call it.
And by now, we've both seen the movie, so we thought we would share some of our thoughts on it and the role that it's playing in the current journey with asian american representation.
Yeah.
I also feel like this is sort of a callback to some of the episodes we've done on Earcrust earlier in our journey.
Specifically, we love asian movies, and behind the camera, as an asian american woman featuring our friend Grace Kim.
Asian movies have been on Crystal and I's mind for a long time, and it is so exciting to see a spotlight asian character in the Marvel universe, which is so hyped up.
But, of course, there's always a lot of interesting things to talk about when it comes to the release of big asian movies.
So hopefully, we can dig into that without spoiling too much of the movie.
Don't worry, guys.
If we do discuss any spoilers, we will give you guys a heads up so that you don't have to be stuck listening to any spoilers.
If you haven't seen the movie already.
Let'S get the possible spoilers out of the way first.
Did you have any favorite parts about the movie?
Yeah, I did.
