单集简介 ...

We have a lot of complicated feelings about our period. We’re no longer the shy teenagers at school who whispered about our periods, but we’re not necessarily the biggest fans of the monthly ritual either, especially not when it comes with cramps, acne, and mood swings. • Hi.

  • Welcome back to eat your crust podcast.

  • I'm Jisoo.

  • I'm Crystal.

  • I'm Uma.

  • And I'm Melinda.

  • This week, we have the ladies from let's sink health.

  • So let'sink is an Instagram page that these two ladies run, and it's a platform and community to learn and chat on all things gender and health in an open, inclusive, and encouraging way.

  • I'm just going to turn it over to you two to tell us a little bit about yourselves.

  • And let's sync health.

  • So my name is Uma.

  • I'm currently a senior at Drexel University studying chemistry and computer science in Philadelphia, which is where Melinda and I met as brand ambassadors for a femtech startup called 28 Health, close to the beginning of the pandemic.

  • So, like March 2020, we met, and then a few months later, we decided to start, let's think, because our in person event got canceled and we were like, you know what?

  • This is important and we have time, so we might as well do something with it.

  • That's how lut sync started.

  • I'll introduce myself really quickly.

  • I'm Melinda.

  • I went to school in Philly, and I graduated in 2020 with a degree in business analytics and entrepreneurship.

  • So both UMA and I are not in the healthcare field, but it ties into why we started, let's think, because it's like, all of us should feel empowered and comfortable to, like, learn and just become more informed and confident about all these topics related to our bodies and our health.

  • Uma explained the backstory.
