Hi.
Welcome back to Eourcrest Podcast.
I'm Jisoo.
I'm Crystal.
And I'm yay.
Today we wanted to talk about friend groups, and by friend groups, we mean we wanted to talk about the various kinds of friend groups and also a little bit about the mechanics behind creating upkeep, all of that stuff behind these friend groups.
And we thought it would be fun to bring on Yayne for this episode because Yayne has a lot of experience in various types of friend groups, whether that be, like, in real life or online, creating friend groups, adding people into friend groups.
And we just thought it would be a great conversation to have, especially during this current time where I feel like in this time, we've seen a lot of expansion in terms of, like, I guess, what defines a friend group almost, and an acceptance in what friend groups can be.
Yeah.
Thanks for inviting me, guys.
I feel really popular.
Yeah, I think what Crystal said rings very true because especially after leaving school, I feel like all friend groups kind of become remote in some ways.
So I know a lot of friend groups have their established their presence in places like Discord or on messenger or Facebook.
Discord communities also during the pandemic, I feel like have grown significantly as well.
So are you guys part of any discord communities or messenger friend groups?
And do you see maybe a culture difference between both friend groups?
Yeah.
So just to start off, I am a huge gamer, so that helps me with socializing online.
So in the beginning of 2020, when I was, like, when everyone was really devastated, my friend invited me to, like, two different discord groups, and then those became, like, the backbone of my social life.
Yeah.
