Hi.
Welcome back to eat your crisp podcast.
I'm Jisoo.
I'm Crystal.
And I'm Katie.
Welcome, Katie.
We thought it would be fun to bring her on this week because Katie does a lot of ceramics pottery.
And I feel like it's not always very easy to find hobbies like this that are really fun and suited to yourself that you can latch onto and feel good about.
Sometimes I feel like it can be difficult to even find a hobby to begin with.
So we thought it would be fun to just chat about ceramics itself, as well as the idea of finding hobbies that bring joy to your life.
I think this is especially an important topic that comes up during your twenties.
I feel like I did a lot of stuff and activities in school, but when I was looking back at all the things I used to do, it was mostly because, you know, my mom's friend said it was a good application builder.
Like, it would look great on the college apps or it was some sort of educational activity that my parents thought would make me, you know, be more into literature or be more into writing and things like that.
So now, post college, I no longer have to try to build a good college application.
I feel like the hobbies that I'm left with could use a little bit more improvement.
So I'm a little curious, Katie, how you even found this hobby or, you know, found inspiration behind ceramics in the first place.
It kind of started during COVID and I feel like I've seen people do pottery before, but I've never really, like, had time to really explore it.
And it always, like, looked really cool to me.
And I think the idea of being able to make something with your own hand and, like, be, being able to use it, that was, like, a really cool concept.
So I think, like, it always looked really interesting to me, but never really had the time to, like, really explore it because, like, you know, when we had to go into the office, it was like nine to five, and then on the weekends, you just, like, hang out with your friends, so there's not really that much time in between to do anything honestly.
