Hi.
Welcome back to eat your crust podcast.
I'm Crystal.
And I'm Jisoo.
Lately, I feel like the state of the economy and stuff has been really just on top of a lot of people's minds because inflation has been hitting really high rates recently, gas prices are like, through the roof.
Overall, a lot of prices are just rising.
So we thought we'd take some time just to kind of have a slightly more lighthearted chat, I guess, about, like, money management in our day to day lives.
I think it's something that we don't talk about too much, like day to day, but I feel like it's something that's usually on everyone's mind.
How can I reduce my spending, especially lately, or how do I spend smarter and stuff like that?
Yeah, I'm not gonna lie.
I think there are times of the month where I think about money a lot more than other times of the month.
There's like this feeling of almost invincibility.
I think once you've paid off all your credit card bills for the month and you have your paycheck in and the numbers are looking really good on the website, but other times of the month, I'm like, oh, shit, I should probably stop spending as much.
Went a little out of control earlier in the month and things like that.
So definitely an interesting pattern to see.
And I think for us, now that we're adults with a steady job, it's kind of empowering to actually have, like, real spending money.
But at the same time, great power comes with great responsibility.
So definitely something to think about.
Yeah, absolutely.
So to kick off the episode, can you ballpark estimate your approximate spending per month without including rent and utilities?
