Hi, welcome back to eat your crust podcast.
I'm Crystal.
And I'm Jisoo.
Today we wanted to talk a little bit about our professional selves.
I feel like we kind of mention this every now and then, how being in the workplace environment, or, you know, just communicating with our coworkers on the clock especially, there's a certain image that we like to maintain, not necessarily like being fake or anything, but in general, you wanna show a professional image of yourself in work environments to show up as our best selves.
So we kinda wanted to talk about how we personally maintain and upkeep our professional sides in this episode.
Yeah, and I think one of the biggest factors in what is, like, the perfect work image actually depends pretty heavily on your work environment.
For example, in a more traditional industry, the work image that is going to bring you the most success might be wildly different from a super casual industry.
Why don't we start off by kind of describing the work environments that we're currently in?
Sure.
I'm definitely more in a casual setting.
The company that I work at is part of, like the tech industry.
So in general, that industry tends to lean much more on the casual side.
I would also describe my work environment as fairly casual.
I will say that there's certain traditional elements to the work environment that live alongside the casualness of it.
For example, I think the higher ups in our company tend to be a little bit more formal ish in the way they dress and then in the way they act.
And some of the younger members, or maybe the people who have to keep up with the marketing trends a little bit more, can be a little bit more casual.
But in general, it's kind of like a weird mix of both casual and traditional.
Interesting.
Maybe the higher up you go in tech, maybe there's slightly more traditional aspects, but I don't really know how it works way up there, so I can't say much.
