Hi.
Welcome back to eat your crust podcast.
I'm Jisoo.
And I'm Crystal.
Today's episode is sort of a semi follow up to our therapy episode, where we really dive deep into our relationship with our therapists, what kind of topics we talk about, and how therapy has changed and improved our lives.
Today we're going to talk about the flip side of that, which is, quote unquote, breaking up with your therapist.
I think this phrase is pretty funny because as dramatic as it makes it sound, sometimes the reason you end things with your therapist can be something simple, like communication style.
You just are looking for a different perspective, and sometimes it can be even just purely logistical, like moving to a new city, for example.
Yes.
Yes.
So you must be wondering who is breaking up with their therapist out of us, too.
Well, the answer is me.
I am breaking up with my therapist, and the reason is actually because I'm moving to a different state.
And so, well, I don't know the specifics, but my therapist, she can only work within the New York state, and then I'm actually moving back to California.
Yay.
And so she is unable to practice in California just because of how her license works or whatever.
So, yeah, I had to break the news to her, and we had to, like, start the breakup process, and it was.
It wasn't bad.
It wasn't bad, but it was definitely, like, I don't know, it's kind of hard.
Like, oh, God, how do I break up with my therapist?
