单集文稿 ...

  • Hi, welcome back to eat your crust podcast.

  • I'm Jisoo.

  • And I'm Crystal.

  • So we've already wrapped up the holiday season, unfortunately.

  • But we are pretty lucky to have a lot of long weekends this month as well as next month.

  • So along with these holidays come a lot of parties.

  • Whether you tend to be the host for these parties or the guest, I do think there is a lot of kind of nuanced etiquette that comes up that might not be easy to catch the first few times around.

  • Today, Crystal and I wanted to share through our learnings now that we are almost 27, from our early twenties, to make sure that you'll be a good guest and also a good host, which we're definitely still kind of learning how to be those things, for sure.

  • First off, do you think you're you like being a host more or a guest more?

  • That's an interesting question because I think if you asked me like a couple weeks ago, I would have said host, but it's probably like holiday season burnout where I'm kind of like, oh, that was like a lot of hosting.

  • Maybe it's good to be a guest from time to time.

  • So in my current mindset, I would prefer being a guest.

  • Yeah.

  • And I think that makes absolute sense.

  • I mean, in our friend group, ever since graduating from college, you and James were the first people to basically move out from home within the Bay area.

  • So it was easy to kind of like default to u two as our designated hosters for, you know, parties, get togethers, whatever.

  • And I mean, it's been quite a few years since we graduated, so unfortunately we've built up this kind of habit to rely on YouTube.

  • But I mean, people are definitely starting to move out more now.

  • And so, you know, hopefully we get more varied hosts within the friend group because I can imagine being the designated host for the past like four to five years can be very tiring.

  • Yeah, I think you've hit the nail on the head.
