Hi.
Welcome back to eat your crust podcast.
I'm Jisoo.
I'm Crystal.
And I'm Camille.
So welcome back, Camille.
The last time Camille was on the podcast with us was way back in the day, episode eight, where we talked about finding our passions and exploring, like, different hobbies and discovering different hobbies.
So check that out if you haven't heard it yet, it's a great episode this week.
Before we talk about our topic at hand, we have a Gen Z phrase of the week.
The one that I'm bringing you this week is not super prevalent anymore, I think, but it's, like, kind of a phenomenon, which is, I find funny.
So the phrase is the millennial pause.
What it means, refers to is when millennials record videos, especially, like, the ones on TikTok, where you're just kind of, like, talking to the camera.
Millennials will hit record, and they will literally pause for, like, one or 2 seconds before launching into their story.
And to, like, compare basically a lot of Gen Z people, they, like, hit record, and they're just already, like, telling their story.
There's no pause, there's no, like, delay.
Basically.
This one is really interesting to me because I feel like it blew my mind the first time I heard about it on TikTok.
It's just such a small detail that I feel like if I didn't explicitly hear this phrase, I never would have thought, oh, millennials pause for, like, a split second in the beginning of the video, but it really is the trauma of just, like, Snapchat always cutting off that, like, split second in the beginning of all our Snapchats back in the day.
And it also kind of makes me think, you know, does our podcast have a millennial pause in, like, the beginning of our intros?
You know?
