  • Hi.

  • Welcome back to eat your crust podcast.

  • I'm Crystal.

  • And I'm Jisoo.

  • So today, our episode topic is actually about something that is pretty top of mind for me right now, which is the honeymoon.

  • James, my husband, and I just got back from our honeymoon about a week or so ago.

  • We spent our honeymoon in Europe for about two weeks.

  • So being back, I feel like I have a lot of fresh and funny stories about the honeymoon to share.

  • We also thought it would be cool to kind of talk about the differences between planning for a honeymoon versus just planning for a regular vacation immediately.

  • My first question for you is, when you were planning the trip, did you specifically try to make it more honeymoon themed, or was it kind of just like planning for any old trip?

  • Dude, it's funny that you ask that, because I think in my mind, there's, like, a very specific idea of what a honeymoon looks like, and oftentimes in movies and whatnot.

  • I feel like honeymoons are almost centered around going to a really nice resort or maybe somewhere beachy, somewhere where you can get massages and spa and relax and tan, and then you come back just feeling really happy and relaxed.

  • But for James and I, we actually took about four to five months after the wedding to actually go on our honeymoon.

  • There was a shorter family trip that we had planned right after the wedding, and then also we just wanted to have some real months to, like, sit down and plan our honeymoon.

  • So I didn't necessarily feel like I needed that rest and relaxation.

  • I kind of wanted to use the honeymoon as an opportunity to visit places that I've always kind of envisioned for myself on our honeymoon.

  • Oh, I see no James envisioning.

  • Okay, that makes it sound like I was dictatoring the honeymoon, but I swear there was some collaboration.

  • Basically, I've always wanted to go to Switzerland for my honeymoon, ever since I went for, like, a day or two in college.

  • So I was like, oh, my God, we have to go to Switzerland, blah, blah, blah.
