Hi.
Welcome back to eat your Crest podcast.
I'm Jisoo.
And I'm crystal.
So we have a new Gen Z word today, and I think it's a fun one because it's actually kind of like an evolution of one of our first Gen Z words.
And one of those og Gen Z words that we talked about is riz, which, you know, is kind of connected to, like, charisma.
So this new word Jisoo actually brought today, and it is also attached to the concept of charisma.
So the word is aura.
Dude, aura is so funny.
And it's one of those words where I feel like once you see it and you recognize that this new generation is using this slang, you can't unsee it.
Like, I've been seeing it everywhere on TikTok, and the format that I've been seeing it is usually it'll be some sort of compilation of things that make you unattractive or attractive, and then they'll gauge points based on whatever that action is.
So, for example, it's like if you accidentally fall asleep in class and your head falls off your hand -1000 aura.
Oh, my God.
Wait.
I actually have not been seeing it use like that for me.
I've just kind of seen it being used as an alternative to vibes.
Oh, yeah.
So, like, oh, this person has aura.
Or to be fair, I haven't seen it that much on TikTok, but in the few instances that I have, it's like, oh, like, what is this aura?
I want to see, like, what the actual origin is, because I think you're right.
