And so when we feel in some way that we're out of alignment with the flow of the universe, and when we're feeling disconnected from the miraculous, that there's an assignment, there's an opportunity to pivot, there's something to look at, and there's something to work on.
Today's guest, Gabby Bernstein, is a spiritual teacher, an author speaker who travels around the world sharing ideas.
But it wasn't always that way for her.
Growing up in a suburb of New York City, she was the kid who felt like she didn't quite fit in.
Interestingly enough, that turned her into a leader so that she could almost form her own tribes in which to fit.
That led her, though, into a career in publicity in New York City, and then a long stint as an addict, both cocaine and alcohol, until she started to pull out of that.
And that set in motion an entirely new journey, a spiritual path for her, which, in her own words, has been quite bumpy and has sort of moved through a series of evolutions as she learns to get honest with herself and then honest with other people, and then turn around and share what she's discovered.
We spent some time exploring that journey and also a bit about her latest book, the universe has your back.
And I ask her point blank, does it really?
So stay tuned and you can hear the answer to that question.
I'm Jonathan Fields.
This is good life project.
So good to be hanging out.
Yeah, as we sit here you are.
You've been traveling like a maniac, it sounds like.
You know, it's funny because I've been traveling a lot for the book launch, but I didn't feel overwhelmed by it.
I felt super cool.
Is that unusual for you?
Very.
