单集简介 ...

Labour has overtaken Reform UK this week for the first time since March last year, according to polls. The ‘Burnham bounce’ comes two weeks into Andy Burnham’s tenure in No 10, during which he has made major announcements on the cost of living and localised education to reduce youth unemployment, and an announcement on social care is expected soon. Is this a turning point for the beleaguered Labour government – or simply a honeymoon for the new PM? Lucy Hough speaks to senior political correspondent Peter Walker. Watch on YouTube. • In the new season, hidden networks, foreign operatives and personal betrayals collide.

  • Meanwhile, Jo walks the line between duty and family as unseen forces circle her world,

  • Don't miss the new season of Lioness, starring Zoe Saldana and Michael Kelly, with Morgan Freeman and Nicole Kidman.

  • Streaming August 2nd, only on Paramount+.

  • In terms of an early election, if Labour was to go for it now,

  • even if their poll lead grew a bit, you'd be leading your troops over the top of the trenches into the gunfire

  • and knowing a lot of them wouldn't make it.

  • I wouldn't get carried away by any poll.

  • Reform UK do have problems at the moment, but they're still leading in a lot of polls.

  • And even when they're not leading, they're behind by, you know, one or two points.

  • You potentially have then Reform UK with 200 seats being the opposition.

  • It'd be a very, very different picture and potentially a much more difficult picture.

  • From the Guardians today in Focus, this is the latest with me, Lucy Hawth.

  • Multiple polls have now put Labour ahead of reform for the first time in more than a year.

  • Peter Walker, you're our senior political correspondent.
