Presidential races are always messy, but 2028 is shaping up to be our messiest presidential campaign yet.
It's poised to be the first open contest for the presidential race for both parties
since 2016. And already there are a ton of names who are rumored
to be thinking about throwing their name in the mix.
People like AOC, Kamala Harris.
Or outsiders like George Clooney, who, of course,
made his mark in the last Democratic presidential campaign with that op-ed calling for Biden to drop out.
And on the Republican side, of course, there's J.D.
Vance.
But what about Marco Rubio, Marjorie Taylor Greene?
Or if Donald Trump runs again?
So today I wanted to host a little fantasy draft.
I'm going to start cutting out some of the faces who are most likely to be selected.
Now, I do think that outsiders are a good choice to be on this list.
I also think that you got to have candidates that speak to the black base.
Kamala Harris, Wes Moore, Imperfect Circle.
We have Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and even some of the Trump heirs like Donald Trump Jr.
And to help me draft, I wanted to invite two of the messiest people I know, said with love,
of course, Vox podcaster and journalist Kara Swisher and independent journalist and political commentator Don Lemon.
They're going to help me sort through two important questions.
