level since 2002. Investors rushing to dump American government debt pushed borrowing costs higher around the world.

Brent crude, the global oil benchmark, remained above $100 a barrel.
A British Iranian man was arrested in connection to a suspected
terror plot at Britain's RAF Fairford Air Base last weekend.
