Okay, so the advanced English lesson today is looking at idioms and it's about idioms relating to good things, okay?
Have this expression, you're good thing.
And it means somebody who's happy about somebody that they are doing something
right or they just use it as a term of endearment or an affectionate way to welcome someone.
Ah, you're a good thing.
How are you?
But we're talking about good things today.
So I've got a list again, back to 10 in my list.
I'll go through them with you and then I'll explain them one by one.
The icing on the cake.
Well, when you get something in addition to something good that's happened then you might call it the icing on the cake.
So you get the new job that you're looking
for and the icing on the cake is that the new office is only 10 minutes away from home.
