And this week, we wanted to talk about teachers because, you know, we are teachers, but we've also had some, some very important teachers in our lives.
So, Jackson, who were some important teachers for you?
Yeah.
So I've had a few teachers in my life from elementary, high school, and university and graduate school that really affected me in a big way.
And I don't know if they even know how much they positively affected my life, you know, because I think sometimes we forget to go back and tell our teachers, you know, by the way, you really had a profound effect on me, and they might not even know it.
I think most of the time we don't go back.
Yeah, I think most of the time you just, you know, we just hold on to that.
And so I received a really nice letter recently from a student who had really nice things to say to me.
And it felt really good because sometimes you feel like you're, as a teacher, you're just kind of quietly going along and you're not sure if you're really, you know, making any progress with students sometimes.
And when you get feedback that's, that's positive, it really does make you feel good.
So I'm going to start with my fourth grade teacher, Mister Forrest.
And Mister Forrest was a, I think he was a progressive educator because he didn't, it wasn't the, it wasn't the traditional kind of educational material that I was, that I was used to in elementary school.
What Mister Forrest did that was so amazing was he taught us how to play chess.
And.
Yeah, which was really cool because in fourth grade, you know, that's, that's a good age to start learning something like, like playing chess.
Because chess is a, it's not an easy game to learn.
