Hey, everybody.
Welcome back to another Jack Chat.
This is a bonus episode where I talk directly to you.
I am Jack, one of the hosts of the A to Z English podcast.
I am an english teacher in South Korea, and I teach at a university, but I am also a podcaster and a youtuber.
And I created this show right here, Jack Chats, as a way to communicate directly with my students.
And that means you out there, the listener.
I consider you my students as well.
And so we created this podcast to help you all learn English a little bit better and give you an opportunity to ask questions directly to us, and we can talk and communicate with you through our podcast.
And I like to do this Jack chat.
I like to do Jack chats because it just lets me talk directly to you, the students.
And so this week has been a little bit slow.
Not that much going on.
We had a very terrible couple of weeks in Korea because of the Halloween tragedy in Itaewon, but there were also, there was a tragedy in India with a bridge collapse, and there was a soccer stadium tragedy in Indonesia.
And I became aware of these incidents because of you guys.
My students out there in the WhatsApp group told me about those situations, and they made me very sad.
It was horrible to hear about those situations.
And so I just think that, like, right now, we need to think about all of the family and friends of the victims in all three countries where the tragedies occurred.
And sometimes tragedies in one country don't make the news, unfortunately, in other countries.
And so we don't always hear what's going on in everybody's individual country.
