Welcome to the A to Z english podcast.
Today we have a quick chat, and our quick chat is about Thanksgiving.
And thanksgiving is an american holiday that occurs on the last Thursday in November.
And on thanksgiving, people do not go to work.
Instead, what usually happens is that families will get together and they will have a feast.
And usually the feast consists of, well, I would say the first main dish is a turkey and.
But there are lots of other side dishes that go along with it and it kind of varies depending on where you live.
So I'm from Minnesota, so a lot of our side dishes tend to be scandinavian, from Finland, Norway, and Sweden.
And social.
You have spent time in the southwest, you have spent time in Mexico, Kentucky.
You're kind of been, you've been all over the place.
So, yeah, yeah.
I'm sure you've had like several different styles of Thanksgiving dinners, if I'm not mistaken.
Yes, yes, I definitely have.
Yeah.
When we celebrate in Iowa with my mexican family, we usually have a turkey, but my grandparents have been known to dress it up in interesting ways.
First time, I think we celebrated thanksgiving with them, they didn't know what to stuff the turkey with, so they thought they should do something quintessentially american in their viewpoint.
And I think my grandfather stuffed it with ground beef and bacon.
So that is a new one.
I've never heard that before, but I endorse it 100%.
