单集文稿 ...

  • Welcome to another episode of A to Z english podcast listeners.

  • Today we're going to be doing a special am I the jerk?

  • Episode where Jack reads an email from a viewer and we decide whether the person involved in the story is a jerk or not.

  • Make sure to chime in with your opinions in the WhatsApp group.

  • Jack, you want to kick us off?

  • Definitely.

  • So I've got an email.

  • I got an email from Shima, and Shima is from Egypt, and she actually has a kind of situation where she's wondering, am I the jerk in this situation?

  • Am I right or am I wrong?

  • And so I would like to read her email for everybody today, and then we'll go ahead and give our opinions about whether we think who we think the jerk is, or maybe nobody is the jerk.

  • So Shima writes, I want to sorry.

  • I had a close friend who I considered a sister.

  • When we graduated, we worked at the same school where there was someone who tried to cause problems for me.

  • I made a complaint to the headmaster and the headmaster asked me if anyone witnessed the situation.

  • My friend knew how he tried to cause trouble for me, but she denied everything.

  • When the headmaster asked her after that, she justified what happened by saying that she was afraid of the headmaster.

  • He could cause problems for her too.

  • She added that I am strong and I can face the problems, but she can't.

  • Unfortunately, I couldn't forgive her.

  • Although I sympathized with her and understood her reasons, I couldn't trust her anymore.
