  • Welcome to the A to Z English podcast, where Jack and Sochil take you on a journey from learning the basics to mastering the nuances of the english language.

  • Our podcast is designed for non native speakers who are looking to improve their english skills in a fun and interactive way.

  • Each episode covers a wide range of topics, from grammar and vocabulary to slang and culture to help you navigate the english speaking world with ease.

  • Welcome to the A to Z English podcast.

  • Today we have a very special episode.

  • We have a special guest, Layla from Saudi Arabia.

  • Layla, how are you today?

  • I am pretty good.

  • Jack, what about you?

  • I am doing pretty good, too.

  • I'm doing all right.

  • As you know, social is out this week, so I asked our listeners to kind of join me as co hosts and interviewees.

  • And so today I'm just asking some questions about english language learning to my students, my listeners out there.

  • And so, Layla, I wanted to start with.

  • The first question is, when did you first start learning English and what inspired you to begin studying it?

  • Honestly, I started learning English when I was in middle school.

  • But as you know, the system of teaching English in school didn't work well.

  • They only focused on grammar.

  • So at that time, I think I just started hating learning English a little bit.

  • But seriously, I started learning English, I guess, at 2016 because at that time, I want to improve my drawing, my knowledge about history.
