And today I've got a special episode where I'm going to do ten idioms, ten common english idioms, and I will explain the meanings of each idiom.
First I will say the idiom, I will use it in a sentence and then I will explain the meaning of it.
So let's do it.
Our first idiom is break a leg.
To break a leg.
And this one, I don't even have to really try hard to make a sentence because I can just say, john, break a leg.
John, break a leg.
So what does that mean if I tell John, if I say to my friend, John, break a leg, well, in English, this is actually, it's the opposite of what it sounds like.
It sounds bad because breaking your leg is not a good thing.
But in the context of the idiom, it actually means good luck to somebody.
