单集文稿 ...

  • Hey, what's up, guys?

  • I'm on the street and I'm doing, I'm going to cross right here.

  • I'm going to head to a different area that I haven't been to yet in any of our jack walks.

  • I went into the group today and I asked you what are some idioms that you would like me to, to discuss and talk about?

  • And so I jumped into chat GPT for some quick explanations, and I think I got some good stuff there.

  • So I'm going to read them and then I'll add my own details and my own opinions about the idioms right here.

  • I'm walking past a, in elementary school where my daughter went to school, so there's a lot of memories of her when she was just an elementary school student, and now she's in high school in America, which is crazy.

  • So she's, she lives all the way overseas, and I'm here in Korea and so is her mom.

  • So we're here and she's all the way abroad, studying at a boarding school, studying ballet.

  • She is going to be a ballerina.

  • That is her dream.

  • So the first idiom that I want to talk about is carry the day.

  • What does it mean to carry the day?

  • I'm going to read what Chad chipt says here.

  • Carry the day is an idiomatic expression that means to emerge as the winner or be victorious in a competition argument or a debate.

  • So to carry the day means to win.

  • So.

  • And usually we use it.

  • We use this expression a lot in, like, sports.

  • So, for example, if you're watching, like, basketball, a basketball game or something, the announcer might talk about the team's defense.
