And today we are going to share two phrasal verbs with you and talk about the meanings of each phrasal verb.
And our first one is put up.
And our second one is put down.
And we may add one more word and say put up with as well as put up.
So put up and put up with and then put down.
So social, how would you, what would you say?
Like, the most common meaning of put up is to put, put up something.
You can put something up, like physically take an object and put it up.
Like either put it away or put it up somewhere out of reach.
So up higher so a baby can't get it.
You say, I'm going to put this up up here.
So, yeah, put this up on the.
Top shelf or I'm going to put up the food for today.
So I'm going to put up our leftovers or whatever.
But you can also use it as put up with something.
