Welcome to the A to Zenglish podcast.
My name is Jack, and I'm here with my co host, Sochil.
And today we are going to describe one idiom for you.
And today's idiom is his or her bark is bigger than his or her bite.
So, social, how would you use this idiom?
Like this?
It's kind of a tough one.
Well, I can use it perfectly in a situation that happened today, as Jack and I already talked about.
I went out to walk my dog, who is a Yorkie.
For those listeners who aren't familiar, a Yorkie or the nickname that we give Yorkshire terriers in English is a type of terrier that's a very small dog.
He weighs about five pounds or two kilos.
So I went to walk my tiny dog out, and we got attacked by a large pit bull mix, which, for those unfamiliar, those pit bull mixes are huge dogs.
I mean, probably close to a 50 kilo dog.
40 kilo.
And big teeth and, yeah, scary big teeth.
Muscular, tall.
So when this dog attacked me, I screamed loudly and waved my free arm over my head.
