单集文稿 ...

  • Hey, what's up, guys?

  • Today's idiom is curiosity killed the cat.

  • You can look at it down below.

  • And what does the idiom curiosity killed the cat mean?

  • We use this expression, this idiom, when we are kind of warning somebody, saying, be careful, don't be overly curious or overly concerned with some situation that doesn't involve you.

  • It's none of your business.

  • Why are you so curious about that?

  • Because when you're too curious about it, digging into other people's lives, other people's business can lead to trouble.

  • It can lead to even dangerous situations.

  • So some things are just better left alone.

  • Right.

  • You just don't need to get involved and be curious about everything, right?

  • Don't get into your neighbor's business.

  • And so this idiom comes from, I think, the behavior of cats who are naturally curious animals, right?

  • And if they're too curious, you know, hmm.

  • What's underneath this car?

  • I want to see what's underneath this car.

  • And then they.

  • They go underneath the car, they can get hurt or they can get killed.

  • These things can happen to cats.
