Welcome to the A to Z english podcast.
My name is Jack, and I am your host for today.
Today we are going to look at one expression in English, and that expression.
Is easy does it.
Easy does it.
And when do we use the expression easy does it?
We use easy does it to advise.
Someone to be careful or cautious, to.
Take things slowly or proceed with care.
So for example, if you, if you have a, if you're helping like an elderly person, so an older person who cannot walk very fast and because they might have, you know, pain in their knees or back pain or something like that, and they're trying to do something like walk up some stairs, okay.
You say to that person, easy does it.
And then you help them a little, you know, walk up the stairs.
Easy does it is you're telling them to don't, don't worry.
Don't, you don't have to do it quickly.
You can just do it very slowly.
And carefully and that's okay.
So you're basically just telling someone to be, go slowly, be careful, easy does it.
Don't be too fast.
You might hurt yourself.
We can say it to children, too.
