单集文稿 ...

  • Welcome to the A to Z English podcast, where Jack and Sochil take you on a journey from learning the basics to mastering the nuances of the english language.

  • Our podcast is designed for non native speakers who are looking to improve their english skills in a fun and interactive way.

  • Each episode covers a wide range of topics, from grammar and vocabulary to slang and culture, to help you navigate the english speaking world with ease.

  • Welcome to the A to Z English podcast.

  • My name is Jack and I am one of the co hosts of the podcast, and I'm here with my other co host, Sochil.

  • And today I am going to ask Sochil A, would you rather question?

  • And then I am going to answer the question as well with my opinion.

  • So Sochil, would you rather live in a place where there's no freedom, but you never get sick or experience death, or have freedom but experience sickness and death?

  • I think, because contrary to how I felt when I was younger, I think I would want to live in a place where I experienced freedom, even if it meant sickness and death, because I don't really see the appeal in living forever.

  • One life is long enough, especially at this day and age where we live, like to be 90.

  • And ultimately you're not going to live a very full life if you don't have freedom because someone else is controlling everything you do.

  • And like, what does that entail?

  • Does that mean you can, you have to eat certain foods, you can't, you can't go out whenever you want, you can't travel whenever you want, you can't work in whatever you want to work in?

  • I think it's just not really worth it to give up your freedom just to avoid sickness and death, which are inevitable parts of life.

  • And I say that as someone who gets sick often.

  • I still don't think I would give up my freedom for total health.

  • Though it does sound tempting sometimes, especially lately.

  • Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm sure.

  • Yeah.

  • Given your current, your recent experiences with health issues.
