Welcome to the A to Z English podcast.
My name is Jack, and I'm one of the hosts of the channel.
I am doing a solo episode episode today, so social will not be joining me.
And today I want to talk about three words that are homophones.
They sound exactly the same, but they actually have very different meanings.
And sometimes I even hear or even read native speakers writing with these mistakes in it.
So it's pretty confusing.
It can be confusing even for native english speakers.
So the first one I want to talk about is there.
There.
And when we use there, we're usually pointing to some kind of object or some kind of thing.
You know, some person or object.
For example, there is a cup on the table, or there is a Glass on the table.
There is juice in the Glass.
I see Jack over there.
If you're looking far away, you have binoculars, and you're at the beach, and you say, hey, I see Jack.
He's over there.
