Welcome to the A to Z English podcast.
My name is Jack and I'm one of the hosts of the podcast.
My partner Sochil is not here today, so this is a solo episode where I will be reading listener emails and the first one that I'm going to read is from May, and May is from Malaysia, and May writes hi Jack.
Here are my comments on the topic of canceling a trip for the job offer.
From the way I see this scenario, I could say that the writer was working hard to pursue their career.
As a consequence, they shouldn't decline the chance that has been presented.
Once we reject a golden opportunity, it might not come again.
For the second time, I believe the writer's friends will accept the reason happily for their friends, better future holiday trips can be planned as many times as we want, as long as we have the budget.
To conclude, I suppose the writer is not a jerk.
They are looking forward to advancing their career.
Thanks Jack, for sharing my thoughts.
Yeah, that's what I thought too.
May, I agree with you.
I think we have to have priorities in life, and whether it's right or wrong, I don't know.
But in our economic system, the number one priority needs to be earning money so that you can have a place to live, clothes to wear, food to eat.
And even if you're taking a trip, you need money to pay for the trip.
How are you going to pay for the money?
