  • Welcome to the A to Z English podcast.

  • My name is Jack, and I'm one of the hosts of the podcast.

  • I'm here with my co host, Sochil.

  • And today we are going to, I think, finally settle the debate over what's the difference between evening and afternoon.

  • Like, when does afternoon end and when does evening begin?

  • And morning is pretty easy, so social.

  • Let's start with morning first.

  • Like, when does morning start and when does it end, would you say?

  • Gosh, morning.

  • I guess morning starts after dawn.

  • So depending on what time of the year, it is, like around 06:00 a.m.

  • probably.

  • And dawn means the sun is rising, right?

  • The sun is coming up.

  • Yeah.

  • I guess there are times in the year when the sun doesn't come up until, like, even 08:00 a.m.

  • in certain areas of the country.
