Welcome to the eighties English podcast.
My name is Jack, and I'm here with Sochil.
And today we are going to share with you five signs that your English is improving.
And the first one is, have you noticed that your speaking is more automatic?
And what I mean by automatic is.
You don't have to search for words.
Or phrases, and replying to people is.
More automatic because you know what to say.
So would you agree with that?
Is that, do you think that's one component of recognizing better fluency in English?
Yeah, I think that when your speech becomes more automatic, it means that your knowledge of the language has become greater and there's more fluency, it flows more naturally, and there's just more to draw from.
So I would agree that I think having not having to pause in conversation and being able to listen and respond in a more automatic way definitely means your English has improved.
Okay.
And I think this one dovetails nicely with the second one.
And the second one is you aren't translating so often.
And so when you can have a conversation in English without translating, your fluency improves.
You don't have to translate from English into your native language and then back again, so conversations don't feel so slow.
