Welcome to the eight is the english podcast.
My name is Jack, and I am here with my co host, Sochil.
And today we're going to just explain the meaning of an expression in English.
And the english expression is better late than never, but this is one that actually exists in both English and Spanish.
And Sochell, what's the spanish version of better late than never?
Yes.
All right.
And it's a pretty common expression in both english and Spanish, right?
Yes, that's true.
Yeah.
And what does that mean?
If something is.
If we say better late than never.
Let'S say that you want to audition for American Idol or something, but you didn't do it three years in a row.
Something got in the way.
You had a car payment or you had bills to pay or something, and you didn't go.
And then finally, on the fourth year, you go and you make it to semifinals, and you're like a big star after that, and it's like, well, better late than never.
