  • Welcome to the A to Z English podcast.

  • My name is Jack, and I'm one of the hosts of the podcast.

  • And today I'm doing a solo episode, which means I'm without my co host, social today.

  • But do not worry, I have a wonderful lesson planned for you.

  • This is a continuation of my last quick tips episode, and I'm going to share with you three more phrasal verbs that use the verb live.

  • So, three more phrasal verbs which contain the verb live in them.

  • And our next one is.

  • Our first one, I should say, is live with.

  • To live with.

  • To live with is to tolerate or accept a difficult or unpleasant situation or person.

  • For example, she decided to live with her noisy neighbors rather than confront them about the noise.

  • So in this case, instead of knocking on the neighbor's door and saying, please be quiet, she just decided not to say anything.

  • And she's just going to accept it.

  • She's going to live with it.

  • And there are certain things we can live with, and there are certain things we cannot live with, right?

  • And so, for me, noisy neighbors don't bother me.

  • So in my case, it's like if my neighbors are noisy, I can still fall asleep easily.
