Here are three ghostly facts about India: Bhangarh Fort - The Most Haunted Place in India: Bhangarh Fort, located in the state of Rajasthan, is often considered the most haunted place in India. It is surrounded by eerie stories of curses, a sorcerer's curse, and ghosts. According to legend, a curse was placed on the fort, leading to its abandonment. Visitors are not allowed inside the fort after dark, as it is believed to be a hub of paranormal activity. Ajjaba - The Ghostly Mother: In some regions of Maharashtra, there is a belief in a supernatural entity known as "Ajjaba." Ajjaba is thought to be the spirit of a deceased mother who returns to protect her children. People believe that when Ajjaba is present, she ensures the safety of her children but may also seek revenge on those who harm them. She is a part of the rich folklore of the region. Kuldhara - The Abandoned Ghost Village: Kuldhara is an abandoned village in the state of Rajasthan, and it is said to be haunted. According to local legends, the village was deserted overnight by its residents in the 19th century due to a curse. It is believed that those who attempted to settle in the village after its abandonment experienced paranormal activities and ghostly encounters, which led to its reputation as a haunted place. These ghostly facts are just a glimpse of the supernatural folklore and legends that exist in India, contributing to the country's rich cultural tapestry of beliefs and superstitions. • You're listening to the A to Z English podcast.

  • Welcome to the A to Z English podcast.

  • My name is Jack, and I am one of the hosts of the podcast.

  • And today I am doing a solo episode.

  • And today's topic is ghostly stories from India.

  • And what I've done is I have looked up three ghostly stories that relate to the beautiful country of India, and I will read them for you and then comment on them.

  • And I would like you, the listener, to send me a comment on our website A to zenglishpodcast.com.

  • or you can send me an email a to zenglishpodcastmail.com, or join our WhatsApp group and become a member of the show.

  • And it doesn't cost you anything to join up, and you can have two weeks of free Zoom lessons.

  • You can also become a member of the A to Z English podcast, WhatsApp group, and you can ask me questions, and I'll talk to you in the group.

  • All right, let's jump into it.

  • Our first haunted place in India, or ghostly story about India, is Bangor Fort, the most haunted place in India.

  • Bhangarh, or Bengar Fort, located in the state of Rajasthan, is often considered the most haunted place in India.

  • It is surrounded by eerie stories of curses, a sorcerer's curse, and ghosts.

  • According to the legend, a curse was placed on the fort, leading to its abandonment.

  • Visitors are not allowed inside the fort after dark, as it is believed to be a hub of paranormal activity.

  • Wow, that sounds creepy.

  • And so my guess is that there must be ghost chasers or ghost hunters.

  • People that want to find ghosts would probably love to go inside Bengar fort for one night with their cameras and all of their equipment.

  • I'm sure they would love to try to see a ghost in there.
