My name is Jack, and I have a quick idioms episode for you today.
I'm going to give you three new idioms.
These are lesser known idioms, and I'll explain and give you some examples.
And so our first one is to jump on the bandwagon.
Jump on the bandwagon.
And the meaning is to join others in doing something that has become fashionable or popular.
So, for example, let's talk about skinny jeans.
Okay?
For a while there, a couple years ago, skinny jeans were really popular.
They became popular.
That was the new fashion.
And people who started looking at more fashionable people, like, you know, models on tv and actors and actresses, famous people, they noticed that those people are wearing skinny jeans.
So regular people jumped on the bandwagon and started wearing skinny jeans, too.
And so to jump on the bandwagon is to join along with what everyone else is doing.
And, you know, it could be a good, it's usually a good thing.
You know, you.
I mean, people sometimes say, oh, you're just jumping on the bandwagon.
You're just following the crowd, you know.
