Dear Jack, welcome to the eight is english podcast.
My name is Jack, and I'm here with my co host Sochil.
And today we have another dear Sochil and Jack question from one of our listeners looking for advice.
Dear Sochil and Jack, my neighbor has a habit of borrowing my things without asking and returning them in a poor condition.
I want to maintain a good relationship, but this is becoming frustrating.
How do I create boundaries and communicate that?
I'd appreciate it if they'd asked before borrowing my belongings.
Sincerely, neighborly boundaries.
This is a tough one.
Think keeping things, keeping, like access from your neighbor, like keeping access away from your neighbors so they can't get to your things as easily is probably the best way to do that.
Yeah, lock your shed.
Like, lock your stuff up.
You know, put a, put a lock on the shed.
And so the next time your neighbor walks over and wants to just grab your shovel and then does whatever, I don't know how you damage.
I guess I'm wondering what kind of items that the neighbor is borrowing, but I'm imagining like rakes and shovels and ladders and tools, those kinds of things.
Is that what you're imagining?
Yeah, I was thinking like a lawnmower, like tools, things like that.
Yeah, yeah.
And if they return them in poor condition, that's frustrating.
Those things can be expensive.
