Transcript: 00:00:00 Jack You're listening to the A-Z English podcast. 00:00:13 Jack Welcome to the A-Z English podcast. My name is Jack and I'm here with my co-host social. And today we're going to do a quick talk episode where we just chat about a a random topic and today's topic is what's the worst flight you have ever taken? 00:00:33 Jack And so so it sounds like you have a really good story. 00:00:37 Jack For this one. 00:00:39 Xochitl Yeah, I do. I do. Jack. You know, towards the end of my time in Korea, I really was homesick. I wanted to go back and interestingly, didn't want to go back to the US. I wanted to go back to Mexico. I hadn't been back to Mexico since the pandemic started because I was trying to be mindful of COVID. And a lot of people don't have the same. 00:01:00 Xochitl Access to healthcare and to vaccination like we did in the US and in South Korea. So I hadn't gone back and I I was just really sick and tired of. 00:01:13 Xochitl You know, being in Korea at that point and I wanted to go home. I was just homesick. So I. 00:01:22 Xochitl Bought my flight back to Mexico after I quit my job and I think I initially was thinking about it just being a vacation that I might come back to Korea. But I I just never went. 00:01:33 Xochitl Back and the flight. Yeah. The flight was really, really insane. I flew with Asiana Airlines. 00:01:43 Jack Yeah, I've taken them before, yeah. 00:01:45 발표자 It was so. 00:01:47 Xochitl Bad. Oh my God, it's. 00:01:48 Xochitl A really long flight. It was from South Korea, so South Korea to San Francisco. 00:01:55 Xochitl And you use like a 17 hour flight and. 00:02:00 Xochitl The aircraft that we were in for some reason had these really tiny seats. No one could like. I'm not a big person and neither were most of people sitting around me, but no one could like fit properly because they were so small. So everyone had their feet out in the aisles, including myself, you know, you know how short I am. Like, my foot had to be on the aisle. 00:02:20 Xochitl Cause it was so cramped and. 00:02:23 Xochitl The seats were really uncomfortable and they're like at. 00:02:25 Xochitl An angle so you couldn't really sleep. 00:02:30 Xochitl And I was like, against the back wall, so I couldn't recline my chair at all. 00:02:36 Xochitl The food was OK. I think that was the only thing that was not. 00:02:40 Xochitl Horrible. And they gave you these little mini toothpaste. So we're really cute. But besides that, it was so bad and I was just. 00:02:49 Xochitl I was so sleepy probably by that. 00:02:51 Xochitl Point I had a really bad headache I. 00:02:52 Xochitl Felt horrible and I. 00:02:55 Xochitl Got so and I it's not like I can. 00:02:58 Xochitl Crash thing. I take a flight from San Francisco to Mexico City and then Mexico City to Oaxaca. So I think I the whole travel time was probably around 48 hours, of which I didn't get. Like any sleep really. In fact, I didn't get any sleep maybe a couple hours here and there. And by the end. 00:03:17 Xochitl I had such a bad migraine that I was. 00:03:20 Xochitl Like about to throw up. I just felt horrible. Horrible. I will never do that again. I will never do the, you know, 8 hours thing. No, it's not worth it. It's just not worth it. 00:03:35 Jack The three stops, yeah. 00:03:36 Xochitl So I would. 00:03:39 Xochitl Yeah, just it's crazy. I would just stay in San Francisco for a few nights and take another, you know, take the flight next to out to Mexico after a couple of days or something. Just like plan around it. But I would never, ever do that. 00:03:54 Jack You know. 00:03:54 Xochitl How about you, Jack? How was? 00:03:56 Xochitl What's your worst? 00:03:57 Jack Well, I've taken that airline before too, but I had a good experience. I don't know, maybe you know. 00:04:02 Xochitl Everyone tells me that everyone's like I had a good experience
